London Canal Museum, LondonLondon Canal Museum is one of the original attractions in London. In this museum you will find the story of the London canals, since the time they were considered a vital medium for the commercial transports. London Canal Museum is located in Kings Cross and it was established in 1860, as a warehouse for ice imported from Norway. Two years later it became an ice-warehouse for Carlo Gatti, a famous ice cream maker.

London Canal Museum has become the first museum in London to be accredited as a "green" museum by Green Tourism for London, part of the national Green Tourism Business Scheme which is the largest accreditation scheme for tourism businesses' eco-credentials.

From London canal museum, have a walk along the Regent’s Canal. Two ways are available:

  • The Camden walk (2km) lasts about 90minutes and ends at the famous London’s Camden Market. Discover one of secret places of the capital: the Regent’s Canal and explore the lovely Camden market.
  • The Water Tower Panoramic Walk will take you to the top of Victorian water tower. You will first cross St Pancras lock and then enjoy a stunning view of the area from the water tower which provided formerly water for steam train.

In summer, London Canal Museum offers guided summer tunnel trips from the museum through Islington Tunnel and back. Every Tuesday in August, Children will enjoy short boat trips. And for Halloween, special tunnel trips are organised by Camden Canals and Narrowboat Association in partnership with the museum.
