Cruelly and Intensely true, Chicago is a famous London musical which has been performed since it first debut in 1975 on Broadway. It came to London in 1997 and after nine years of success in London West End at Adelphi Theatre it was brought to the Cambridge theatre in 2006. Exhilarating and unpredictable "Chicago" is deeply tragic full of favouritism and corruption.

After being on stage for years fascinating and sexy "Chicago" remains one of the best musicals in the world. In both America Broadway and London West End the shows are still completly full of viewers.

Chicago musical is by Fred Ebb and Bob Foss and is based on the same named musical from Maurine Dallas Watkins. The play is directed by Walter bobby and the music is made by John Kader. The plot of the play has been divided in two parts set in “Chicago” in 1926 and the story is based on true facts from two ladies accused of murder. The two main characters Roxie and Velma both have very intense personalities, they try to use them to get attention from the media and to be proved innocent. A third interesting character in the story is the sly lawyer that helps the women to try and win the lawsuit. The show is saturated with beautiful music and dance choreography from Bob Fosse.

In all of these years this London musical is still sold out consistently and remains to be a genuine showstopper. The real power of the musical is of course the choreography that is full of intensity, passion and sexappeal. The plot is elaborate but at the same time basic and simple.

This London musical is strongly recommended by musical experts because its a real piece of history and culture, but above all a very good play. They also made a movie of this grand musical and many reproductions around the world. This play gives you the nostalgic feeling that you are really in the 30ties of Chicago that is nowadays defined as the prohibition era. Money, power and the two beautiful main characters are the key ingredients of this amazing musical.

Since 2006 the musical takes place in the Cambridge theatre of London. This London theatre is very modern and close to Covent garden on the Piccadilly Line the venue is also across the street from the royal opera.

Chicago is seen as the sexiest and most beautiful Love crime now on stage in the West End. Two murders from to women that do not see their faults in life.

Overall the musical has it all drama, humour, sex, style, beautiful music and some of the best dancing you will ever see.
