Jersey Boys

From a book of Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, the musical Jersey Boys conquered the Broadway on November 2005 as an unbelievable, instant box office sold out. In 2006 it won four Tony Awards for Best Musical and its success echoed through all America with an amazing US tour that landed last year in London with the same and lucky creative team.

Directed by Des McAnuff and choreographed by Sergio Trujillo with music by Bob Gaudio and lyrics by Bob Crewe, Jersey Boys is a fast moving musical that fits perfectly in the London West End theatre high standard. Heart-warming and involving, the true story of four working class guys that reach success and popularity is fresh and honest. It follows the typical and classic American dream.

The story of the musical Jersey Boys is based on the lives of the famous Italian-American quartet Four Season. These four lives upset by betrayal, succeed thanks to the strength of friendship in the big and cruel show biz world. They are part of the explosive sixties as they wrote some of the most popular and appreciated songs of all time: Sherry, Big Girls Don’t Cry, Walk Like a Man, Bye Bye Baby and many others that in the mid 1960s were massive hits.

The leader Frankie Valli fantastically interpreted by Ryan Molly and the rest of the group dominated the West End London panorama since its firs debut at Prince Edward Theatre in February 2008. A great performance that can’t disappoint; really good production, professional cast with lovely voices and superb reproduction of the sixties culture and lifestyle. It touches every generation souls and hearts thanks to its well-known and catchy tunes that will follow you for days. Funny and charismatic with its true story background, Jersey Boys is today one of the most seen and loved musical in London.
