Sister act musical is an adaptation of the film brought out in the 1990’s by Whoopi Golberg herself.
The plot is about a disco diva of a crummy club in Reno: Deloris Van Cartier. Girlfriend of the villainous club owner, she witnesses a murder and has to hide to prevent herself to be killed. The police finds her a secret place to stay until the suit begins: a sister convent.

Deloris becomes Sister Mary Clarence and finds very difficult to adapt herself to the covent life and rules. She does not get on very well with the Mother Superior who is constantly watching her every move. Finally she discovers her predilection activity in the covent: train and lead the church choir. She uses her dance and vocal abilities to turn the church choir in an outstanding religious vocal band. With her active and enthousiastic temper, she progressively transforms covents habits to help local population.

A corrupted policeman finds out where Deloris is hidden and gives this piece of information to her ex-boyfriend. A track race begins and ends happily thanks to nuns' help.

Sheila Hancock as Mother superior and Patina Miller as Deloris Van Cartier are the main characters and make Sister Act show brilliant and outstanding. Indeed, Patina Miller is emerging as a new star of the West End. Everyone will be blown away by her phenomenal stage presence and vocal skills.
